No Penetration, No Waiting

No Penetration, No Waiting

How Big Foot Puts Contractors Back in Charge of the Schedule

On most commercial rooftop jobs, HVACR contractors are at the mercy of someone else's timeline. If supports need to be tied into the roof, equipment can't go in until the roofing work is done — full stop. Big Foot Systems changes that equation. Because its frames are free-standing and non-penetrative, contractors can schedule crane time and labor when it works for them, not when it works for another trade.

Now available exclusively through The Malco Group, Big Foot gives trade pros a faster, simpler path to getting equipment in place.

More Control Over Your Schedule

On commercial jobs, rooftop equipment installation often requires coordination between multiple trades. When traditional support structures need to be tied into the roof, HVACR contractors may have to wait until the roofing work is complete before equipment can be set.

Big Foot gives contractors another option.

Because Big Foot frames are free-standing and non-penetrative, contractors can reduce their dependency on roofing schedules. Once their portion of the roof is ready, they can schedule crane time and labor when it makes sense for the project, helping keep installation timelines in their control. That flexibility can mean less waiting, fewer scheduling headaches, and a simpler path to getting equipment in place.

Designed to Simplify Installation

Big Foot frames are built for quick, straightforward installation. The system offers flexibility to work around existing rooftop equipment, piping, and other obstacles while supporting a wide range of applications.

Planning can start earlier, too. Big Foot can provide .dwg files for engineers or contractors to incorporate into project plans, helping account for support requirements from the beginning rather than solving them in the field.

For added confidence, Big Foot frames are pre-engineered to withstand wind speeds up to 90 MPH and to prevent slipping or tipping even when not connected to the substructure. Supporting submittal packages with calculations is also available to help streamline documentation and project coordination.

Built for Demanding Rooftop Conditions

A simpler installation still needs to deliver long-term performance.

Big Foot frames are constructed from carbon steel square tubing, hot-dip galvanized inside and out for weather resistance. The frames have passed a 1,000-hour salt test and a 500-hour acetic acid test, demonstrating their ability to withstand demanding outdoor conditions.

The frames are also designed to spread equipment loads across the roof with consistent foot pressure, helping support rooftop equipment without concentrating excessive pressure in one area. Each leg on the frame can be adjusted, allowing you to level your equipment precisely on uneven rooftops.

A System for the Way Trade Pros Work

No two jobs are exactly alike. Big Foot offers a range of solutions that give trade pros the flexibility to choose the right support setup for the application.

·      Fix-it-Foot provides a simple option for supporting condensate piping, refrigeration lines, and small equipment on roofs. It can also be used at ground level to elevate equipment above areas where water and debris may collect.

·      H-Frame Kits give contractors the flexibility to build supports around the needs of the project. Each kit includes feet, angle brackets, and hardware, allowing locally sourced strut to be used to create supports at the required height and width. Common applications include duct support, chilled water piping, and large refrigeration piping runs.

·      Multi Frames offer a versatile boxed solution primarily for rooftop applications, supporting VRV/VRF, mini-splits, unitary condensers, side-discharge condensers, and other small equipment. Extensions can be added to accommodate multiple modules while maintaining room for service and cleaning access.

·      Mini Frames support mini splits, single- and double-fan units, and side-discharge unitary condensers in ground-mount and wind-protected applications.

One Partner. One Solution. Built for the Trades.

Bringing Big Foot Systems exclusively to The Malco Group is another step toward simplifying the way trade pros access the products and solutions they need to get the job done.

The goal is straightforward: bring more of the job together through one trusted partner. From tools and condensate management to refrigeration solutions, worksite equipment, and now a broader range of rooftop support systems, The Malco Group is building a connected portfolio around the real needs of trades.

For contractors, that means easier access to practical solutions that work across more of the job. For distributors, it means more ways to support customers through a single partner. And for the HVACR industry, it means a growing portfolio focused on reducing complexity from the back of the van to the rooftop.

Big Foot fits directly into that approach, providing trade pros with flexible support solutions that simplify installation and keep projects moving.
